Recieve and Disassemble:

Once we recieve the Drum Dryer or Flakers, it will be disassembled only far enough to remove the drums. Upon removal, the drums will be inspected and hydro-tested. After testing, they will be mounted on out lathe to measure the TIR's and inspect the trunnion bearing surface. These measurements will reveal any damagethat may have occured. At this point, if any problems are discovered no further work will be performed to the drum without written consent.

Frame:

  1. Disassemble entire dryer
  2. Sandblast, paint, reassemble, and align frame and sub frame

Main Bearings:

  1. Replace / rebuild all main trunion bearings
  2. Inspect / replace all bronze brushings
  3. Inspect / replace all cast iron housings
  4. Paint all steel surfaces with 2 part epoxy "Steel It Grey" paint

Rotary Joints:

  1. Replace / rebuild roraty joints

Knife Assembly:

  1. Inspect, replace, or rebuild all pneumatic / hydraulic cylinders and lines
  2. Inspect, replace, or rebuild actuator panel
  3. Re machine and align knife holder as required
  4. Paint all steel surfaces with 2 part epoxy "Steel It Grey" paint

Endboards:

  1. Inspect, replace, or rebuild all pneumatic cylinders
  2. inspect, replace, or rebuild endboard regulator
  3. Inspect, replace, or rebuild all pneumatic lines
  4. Inspect and/or replace fiber boards
  5. Align endboard plates
  6. Paint all steel surfaces with 2 part epoxy "Steel It Grey" paint

Drum Adjusters:

  1. Clean, inspect, disassemble, and sandblast drum adjusters
  2. Install new bearings if necessary
  3. Paint all steel surfaces with 2 part epoxy "Steel It Grey" paint

Drive Gears and Guards:

  1. Clean, sandblast, and inspect main drive gears
  2. Clean, sandblast, and refit main gear guard
  3. Paint all steel surfaces with 2 part epoxy "Steel It Grey" paint

Vapor Hood:

  1. Clean, Sandblast (if required), and inspect vapor hood
  2. Inspect, repair or replace pendulum feed system
  3. Refit vapor hood to dryer

Product Enclosure:

  1. Clean, sandblast (if required), and inspect product enclosure
  2. Refit product enclosure to dryer

Lubricators:

  1. Remove old system and replace with new lines and injectors

Test:

  1. Reassemble and test basic dryer operation (without product)

 

Opptions:

Motor Replacement:

You have the option to replace your old motor with a new direct-coupled gear motor and matching variable functiondrive (VFD). Includes engineering, frame and motor base modifications and machining.

NOTE: VFD to be shipped loose for factory installation.

 

When the process is done, you will have a dryer that will operate like a new Buflovak unit. We will include a one year warranty on your product. This warranty doesn't include wear items such as bearings, knives, end boards and seals.
