Process / Applications Engineer
BUFLOVAK is a leading manufacturer of chemical, food, and pharmaceutical equipment. We have a challenging and rewarding position for a Process/Applications Engineer in our evaporator group. The position requires front-end sales work along with back-end detailed design work.
Position activities include:
- Developing mass and heat balance for an evaporator, crystallizer, or distillation system to meet customers’ process requirements.
- Sizing of equipment (including heat exchangers, separators, distillation towers, pumps, piping, etc.)
- Prepare technical proposals which include developing P&IDs and General Arrangements
- Work closely with project team after order to insure process system meets the technical requirements for the project.
- Generate technical reports and technical manuals
- Travel is required to assist in sales presentations and provide support in start-ups.
To qualify for this technical position, you must possess the following skills and experiences:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
- Excellent technical writing skills who can successfully work with internal and external contacts.
- The ability to determine the correct front-end engineering effort needed to develop proposals.
- Understanding of Project Management principles and familiarity with technical processes and equipment design.
- HYSIS or CHEMCAD experience is a plus along with the willingness to use AutoCAD to develop conceptual proposal drawings.
